The Hague is the only big Dutch city by the sea. Nearby the historic center lies an eleven kilometers long beach, something not everybody knows. To bring this to the attention of the big public, the city will conduct a major crossmedia (tv and online) campaign in England, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands for the first time. Under the motto 'Dive in The Hague', about one hundred known and unknown people from The Hague will take a dive in the water right by The Pier of Scheveningen this Wednesday evening.
On that occasion, visitors will get a 'sneak preview' of the city marketing campaign, which will start a week later. The campaign is also the forerunner of 200 years Scheveningen, which will be celebrated in January 2018 under the name 'Party at Sea'.
